Charles Cotton - Director
Charles Cotton is an Executive Director of Library House; Director of Solarflare Communications; a Supervisory Board member of Tele Atlas the Euronext Amsterdam and Frankfurt Exchange listed supplier of digital maps; and a Director of Silicon Valley based start-up Terabitz; an investor in and adviser to venture capital firms; and a business angel. Previously, he was Executive Chairman of GlobespanVirata Inc. the NASDAQ listed, New Jersey based, semiconductor company. Prior to the merger with GlobeSpan, he was CEO of Santa Clara based Virata Corp. He took Virata public on NASDAQ, in 1999, raised $682 million across six financing rounds, executed five acquisitions and established and ran a venture fund. Previously, he was CEO of Shandwick Europe; President of Boston Mass. based Thermal Scientific Inc, and a Director of London Stock Exchange listed Thermal Scientific Ltd. Prior to that he was Sales and Marketing Director at Sinclair Research Ltd. and held senior Operations, Finance, Marketing and Product Planning positions at British Leyland and Ford. He has a BA Hons in Physics from Oxford University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Carl Fantasia - Director
Carl is an equity analyst at Tudor Investments. He has over 10 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, including Delphi, MFS, and American Express prior to joining Tudor. Carl graduated from Wake Forest with a Bachelor of Science and Mathematical Economics in 1997.
Ashfaq Munshi, Founder and CEO
Ashfaq Munshi is the founder and CEO of Terabitz. Prior to that, Ash was CEO of Level5 Networks. He brings a unique mix of 20 years of entrepreneurship, engineering, marketing, and management experience to his new company. Ashfaq has founded four other Silicon Valley companies: Radiance, Vivecon, SpecialtyMD (acquired by Ventro), and Commerce Engine (became Ariba). Earlier in his career, he served as a corporate vice president at Applied Materials, where he was responsible for software and automation. Prior to Applied Materials, Ashfaq was vice president and general manager of the Enterprise Business Unit at SGI. He began his executive career at Oracle Corporation where he was director of development and marketing. Ashfaq currently serves on the board of MSC Software Corporation, a publicly-traded company (Nasdaq: MSCS) and is a member of the audit committee and chairperson of the Compensation Committee. He also serves as an advisor to Transitive Corporation and is on the Dean's Leadership Council for the Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University. Ashfaq holds an A.B. in Mathematics from Harvard, has completed graduate work in computer science at Brown and the University of California, Santa Cruz and is an alumnus of the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Ron Wohl - Director
Mr. Wohl is a private investor. His expertise is in technology development and innovation. He served as an executive vice president at Oracle Corporation, where he grew Oracle application business from a startup to $1.6 billion of revenue, building a global team of 6500 people, and achieving high rates of customer satisfaction and loyalty. After his 18 year tenure at Oracle, he has served on corporate and non-profit boards, been active as an angel investor, advised multiple Silicon Valley startup efforts, and consulted on private equity buyouts. Mr. Wohl earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and an A.B. degree in Physics from Harvard College.
